Cucumber water is super easy to make. All you have to do is fill a pitcher of water and add sliced cucumbers to it. But, infused waters become more refreshing when they are chilled.

  • One cucumber
  • A large pitcher of water
  • Lemon/mint/or any other hydrating agent (optional)

  • Slice the cucumber into thin coins
  • Fill a pitcher of water.
  • Add the cucumber slices to it
  • Now add any other hydrating agent if you want. But that is completely optional.
  • Refrigerate the pitcher for a few hours
  • Enjoy your delicious drink.

Well this is one way to consume it. But I like to make it another way.

  • I slice 1 cucumber and infuse it in a half filled pitcher of water.
  • It becomes a little concentrated.
  • Now, instead of refrigerating, I freeze the water in an ice cube tray.
  • When even you want to drink the water, pop the ice cube into the glass of water.
  • This always gives you a chilled glass of cucumber water.

Some other ways to consume cucumber water:

Cucumbers go very well with the following ingredients:

  • Lemon
  • Lime
  • Orange
  • Strawberry
  • Rosemary
  • Mint
  • Thyme
  • Lavender
  • Fennel seeds

A few delicious recipes of cucumber water

  • Cucumber and mint water:

Add mint leaves in the water, along with the cucumber slices. Let them stay in the water for a few minutes so that they can infuse well in the water.

Refrigerate it and drink the cool, detoxifying drink.

  • Cucumber and lemon water:

Add lemon/lime slices to your cucumber water. It is highly refreshing and tastes amazing. It detoxifies your body and also lowers your body temperature.

  • Cucumber and fennel seeds water:

This is my personal favorite combination.

Add fennel seeds to the water and boil it. Let it cool down and come at the room temperature. Now add cucumber slices to it and refrigerate it.

This recipe greatly helps in bloating, digestion and weight loss.

  • Cucumber and strawberry water:

Add thinly sliced strawberries and thinly sliced cucumbers into the pitcher of water. Let it infuse and refrigerate. This drink is packed with vitamin C and is a real metabolism booster.

Side notes:

  • Don’t leave the cucumber or any other detox agent in the water for more than 12 hours as they soften. If you want to store it, remove the fruits and vegetables from the water and refrigerate it.
  • If you do not want to remove the vegetables and fruits from the water, and want to store it, then freeze it.
