A moderate quantity helps to reduce the risk of heart attack, ischemic (clot-caused) stroke, peripheral vascular disease, sudden cardiac death etc. If you have a bad breath, vodka can help to get over it. The high and pure content of higher alcohols makes it impossible for the bad bacteria to live in the oral cavity which means there will be no more bad odor. Drinking alcohol also makes the brain sharp. It enhances focus, concentration and cognitive upraise. It works on memory and reduces the risk of Alzheimer’s. Some alcohols are rich in antioxidants. For example, wine has certain phytochemicals and Resveratrol which kick boosts the energy and reduces the sign of aging. Red wine helps elevate good cholesterol (HDL) and removes the extra amount of bad cholesterol (LDL). Also, there are certainly other benefits which suggest alcohol be helpful for the body. However, it is only the quantity which decides the fate of your body.
